On August 12, 2017, the president signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 into law, which provides an additional $2.1 billion in funding for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Choice Program (VCP).
As a provider of acupuncture and chiropractic services to those who have served our country, Care Wellness Center applauds the passage of continued VCP funding and pledge to bring the highest level of healthcare to those that, number one, deserve the best healthcare, and number two, are looking to receive these benefits outside of the VA.
As providers in the Health Net Federal Services program, we are excited with this latest advancement in funding, as it will allow us to schedule acupuncture appointments for veterans receiving health care outside the VA, under the VCP program as well as the PCCC (Patient Centered Community Care) program.
VCP and PCCC are both VA programs that allow veterans to seek care from community providers outside of the VA. This is great news as this allows veterans to seek the care they want and need and not have to travel to the VA, making services much more accessible to them, as well as providing the coverage for these valuable services.
